Quotes
“So this is the protein bar shelf in Myers. What I noticed first is, the Pure Protein brand stands out more, and it's on the first, two shelves. And then you have the other brands that kinda go down after that. There's really no particular organization that catches my eye other than it's color coordinated with the brands. It's packet well, it's assembled on the shelf. What it looks like to based on maybe the more popular brand, Pure Protein, I'm gonna assume is more popular. And then you got Robert's Fit Crunch and then med FedEx. I don't know how to say that. But”
“It's a little bit of both. First, if it's on sale, that's gonna make me wanna gravitate towards it versus if it's regular price. So first, if it's on sale, then I'll look at what flavors on sale, and then I'll obviously get it if it's the flavor I like and it's on sale. Promotions more so than signage play a role for me in getting the products. Normally, when there's a promotion, you have signage, so they go hand in hand, and that's what would influence my decision. If it's not on sale, only way I'd get it is if I had rewards points to use up or a Friday coupon. I even though I love the flavor, I wait till things are on sale and or have a percentage or price off of it when that will make me wanna buy it.”
“So this is the protein bar section in the Wawa. It took me some time to find it. I've only been maybe one time to this Wawa since I'm on vacation. So I noticed that my favorite one of my favorites, the Clif Bar, is right on top, and one of them is crunchy peanut butter. So I'm definitely gonna be buying a few of those. And, then, I do buy Quest, and that's on the next shelf. And, then I see some more Clif bars down a little bit further. And then I'm going to be looking for some that have some protein bars that have a little more protein in them, but, they do have a whole stand of protein bars here.”
“Seems like the shelf is organized by kind of eye level, probably the ones that sell more. And so pretty much all these pretty much the brands within these three or four sections, Like, the RXBAR is about eye level for some people. My eye level is about up here. But for a lot of people, it's gonna be this line. And so the click bar click bars are pretty popular in the off brand as well as the RXBARs. And they send out to me again because they, they are familiar brands, and they have high protein.”
“Again, it's more about the ingredients to me than it is packaging design or shelf placement. I do think that if they're placed, say, at eye level, I may notice them again, if they have repackaged or rebranded maybe now with no artificial sweetener and place them at eye level, that I would notice that and maybe give it another try.”
“Yes. Yes. There are. There's this sale bar with the RXBARs that stood out to me. But also right when I walked in, that I noticed that I'm taking you over here because I did notice the aloha bars here on the sidebar as well. Those caught my eye, again, with the the drinks. So there's the aloha bars. And then if I it's as I'm walking to the bars, it's here, the bar section. And then here's the RXBARs with the nice sale, promotion clearly labeled. And then here we come to the the regular section of the protein bars. And what's nice is kind of I walked in the store and noticed those two, the Aloha and the RXBARs on my way to the protein bar section. So that was strategically placed well.”
“Well, no. When they're at kind of eye level, you know, I tend to notice them more often. Yeah. So pretty much anything from the top. I'm a pretty tall person. So anything that's on the top shelf down to about like one, two, three, four, five, down to the fifth row. Something that I kind of know it's easier to to to notice them than the ones on the bottom two rows.”
“I guess that's in blue, and it's in big white letters that stands out. It's on the top two shelves, so it's like the number one product that you see. And the packaging is eye catching, specifically how it looks on on the package for the product. It makes you wanna buy it. It makes it look very appetizing.”
“Okay. So these are the protein bars. And the first thing that caught my eye was the ALAANI bars because I like ALAANI drinks, and they were also the ones that were on the top. So they were really easy to see. I noticed that the second shelf has pure protein, and then I had to kinda duck down to see the rest of what was here.”
