Quotes
“Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I think the credit card, like, Mastercard is widely, worldwide. It's accepted worldwide. And they they this is a convenience when you're carrying it compared to payment through cash. No. I cannot, pay through cash. I better prefer credit card for that. And then, comparing to mobile transfer, I think credit card, like the Mastercard that I use, it has a fraud protection. So it is very, very difficult for someone to scam you when we I use the credit card method.”
“So when booking travel, for me, it's protection. If it's a big purchase, I'm gonna use my credit card because it then protects it. If it's sort of a smaller holiday like flight, I tend to use PayPal just because it's easy to check out, and I do like to split the payment within three. But also sort of in terms of spending, I like to be charged no fees. I like the local currency to be as close to it as possible. I like to be in charge no withdrawal fees either when withdrawing the money, so that's kind of why they're most important to me. But, But, yeah, the credit card for big transactions is just for the protection of something that sort of goes wrong with the holiday.”
“Security and fair prices. How safe is it for me to pay using whatever method I am choosing? Is it okay if I pull out a bunch of cash and count it, give it to you? Am I in a safe place to do that? If I tap my card, is my information safe? And What's most important to you when choosing? Basically, it's security and fair prices. Which one of the prices gets me the the actual price? Because I'm not trying to patriotic prices. And which one of the options keeps me and my information safe.”
“I don't think there's really much pain points that I've experienced when traveling, other than, fraud protection. I've had it where my card has been locked at one point, but that's just been for safety. And I've done just a quick phone call, and they've unlocked my card and verified information, which in all fairness, I appreciated that, they were tracking my spending and recognizing that this was a different country that was charging my card. So, again, I appreciated that they were tracking and monitoring my card. So not really any pain points. I think the only thing that just needs to be improved is just that foreign exchange rates. I just think that that is just something that credit cards just should be a complimentary thing. I think that's when a that's the whole reason why we don't use my husband's credit card because they charge forward exchange rates. So we use mine over his. So, I mean, if all credit cards didn't charge, forward exchange rate, it'd be more beneficial.”
“Now, I use Mastercard and Visa a lot, precisely because they are two companies, institutions that issue and emanate trust, right?”
“These honestly feel like, are the best companions when deciding to use these cards when traveling. It's because I've had firsthand experience with major with these major institutions, PayPal, Visa, and American Express. And I personally feel like they put their customer first. There are so many things that you can learn and do while traveling, and they always ensure that you are protected. I know firsthand experience, especially with my American Express, when I lost my luggage on vacation, They basically reimburse me up until a certain amount for that instance. So there's just certain things that I feel like these specific companies go above and beyond to protect their customer, especially when traveling. Especially with PayPal, I feel like it's a extremely secure institution, and they always go above and beyond to to protect your information, and they're doing that on a daily basis. So I feel like these three companies, their image and ex image in a whole is extremely positive, and it feels like I am backed up. I'm both like, they're going to protect me in any type of situation. Makes me feel extremely safe. It's extremely convenient. And the plus side is they also offer rewards. Well, I'm not too sure about PayPal, but Visa and American Express definitely offers rewards for using their cards for travel as well.”
“I think the most important things that are important to me when choosing house pay is something that's convenient, safe. So from a point of view of safety and security, but also safe from the point of view of, you know, if anything were to go wrong, if I put something through my credit card, I've got more protections. So those are the cut the two main features. That's safety, security, convenience as well. So not having to carry around lots of currency. Those are the most important factors when choosing how I pay.”
“So definitely protecting my money. That's the most important thing. You don't know how different countries operate in terms of how how much they're willing to, like, protect your money or I don't know. I just get worried that, I just get worried that I'm gonna get scammed. So I'm always that's why I like to use the credit card because I think that I can redeem the money back more easily if something goes wrong. Like, the money hasn't, like the physical money hasn't left my account yet.”
“Oh, I think so, more guarantees. I always prefer to pay by credit card, because if I have any problem, it's easier for them to refund the credit card, because then if we pay with another method like OPICE, or bank transfer, there can be more problems, right? So, it ends up being easier for us to contact the company responsible for the card, right? In this case, Mastercard, Visa, or whatever, then. That's what I think, right? I think this is the most important thing: to have a certain security, right? When making the payment.”
“Probably, like, security, but also if I use my credit card which has the loyalty and points that I accumulate, I just usually use that that method if mainly, like, if I'm purchasing online. But also, like, if I'm paying, like, at that country, I have the prepaid card, which is, like, more secure in case of it getting, like, hacked into.”
“I guess first thing is security. Again I think that's why I like digital payments because I feel like I like cash which can be stolen if you're pickpocketed, digital payments usually come, what's it, less likely to be stolen, and or less easy to be stolen. And if, for example, if that my travel credit card, for example, has insurance, then I owe some security measure to unlock it the, if it's stolen, then I guess that's, then I'm more likely to use that payment.”
