Quotes
“Using the filters on Amazon can be quite difficult sometimes. So when you go to Tesco and you type in dog food, it will have filters up there to say wet dog food, dry dog food, treats, etcetera, whereas you could not narrow that down in the Amazon filters. So it works well if you are looking for a specific brand and you know exactly what you're looking for, but if you want to have a look to see what they've got and the range it can be quite difficult because there's hundreds and hundreds to choose from compared to a supermarket and the filters are not specific to what you actually want to get.”
“I wish it were possible to sort the products by price per kilo. That would have allowed for a much more stringent search. And I'm not sure whether this restriction by dog weight or weight control really applies to all the products displayed. Because I didn't find it explicitly in the product I selected. So I'm a bit skeptical. But otherwise, I came to a conclusion pretty quickly.”
“Absolutely. It's the number of products and competitors that can be overwhelming. There are so many different products. You have to take your time and concentrate, compare different factors like price, ingredients, where it was produced, read customer reviews. And that can be overwhelming, of course, because there's a lot of information that you first have to validate and compare. And that's naturally tiring at first. If you're on one page, then leave again and compare the next product, you've already forgotten what was on the other page. It's just such a huge amount of information.”
“I think while the variety side is a positive, sometimes it can be slightly overwhelming. So, like, when I was searching for Lily's Kitchen to find the one I want, there were loads of listings that all looked exactly the same. So sometimes it can be a little bit confusing to find what you're after, but I think it's a plus as much as it is a a negative.”
“I think the less satisfying elements were search for dry dog food, and it was still coming up with wet ones. So it wasn't kind of accurate to what I was searching for. It did bring up quite a few different options, so I guess that's something that worked well. But I was looking for maybe something a bit more tailored towards Dashens, although I appreciate this kind of quite a specific search feature I was looking for.”
“I think that, like, if I put in 15 kilos, it shouldn't be the sponsors. Like, shouldn't be the smaller ones straight away, like 12 and threes. I love it if it actually just showed me the 15 kilos. Like, yeah, this is not what I'm looking for nor is this. Oh, this one is actually my bad. Apologies. I'm not interested in the dog food. You know? I want more specific. So, like, I'd also like it if it did actually say 15 kilo. I I don't know how there's a 650 I need to find what this is. Sorry. So, like, some of the prices being insanely overpriced. Packer four. Things that I would love, that's not right. You know? These are overinflated and the wrong prices for sure. Like, that's a £100 a bag. Over a £100. What? Okay. Yeah. I think that needs to be definitely looked into for sure.”
“Yes. So trying to narrow down it. When I typed in dog food, I wanted to narrow that down to wet dog food or dry dog food and they didn't have that option. I also did find it quite difficult to find the brands even though I think that was my fault. So if I'm going back onto Amazon now to show you, let's get back to where we were. I think it was the page before this one. I was trying to find the brands, and I did find that quite difficult. So if I want to find a brand here, see more. So they've got all the brands there, but I did find that difficult to find. Maybe that was just me, but I think for me, it's the wet dog food and the dry dog food that I want to be able to narrow down and they haven't got that option.”
