“I have to say, I have a Fressnapf store right next to my work, which is why I shop there. But I also shop at supermarkets, and I like buying specialty food online.”

“So, I usually buy dog food at the supermarket. In our case, it's the large Edeka supermarket here, the eCenter. Simply because we do our shopping there every week anyway, and they have a large pet food section with a wide selection. And then I can do it along with all my other shopping and don't have to drive anywhere else.”

“As I've already said, I couldn't find what I wanted. It's great that they do bulk, buying, but for someone who hasn't got the storage space to put that away, that doesn't help me. So, I haven't been able to find just one single pack, and I'd maybe do that, a bit quicker.”

“So, off the top of my head, I'll buy it whenever possible during my weekly shop, just like I normally do with everything. I'll just order one or two bags, or in larger quantities, online, and then restock whenever I need to. I'm not really into pet stores; I've never really seen the benefit of it.”

“Yes, at that point I'd just put it in the shopping cart and buy it then, or buy it now if I don't plan on ordering anything else from Amazon. Exactly.”

“I normally buy my dog food from the supermarket just because that's where I am when I'm getting my food shopping. It's easier because I work full time to just buy alongside, and I can get it there and then rather than waiting for it to be delivered.”

“Well, at the moment, we mostly buy our dog food at Edeka, where we do our weekly shop. But I haven't really found the perfect solution yet, because we've bought some online before. That was relatively cheap, and it worked out well. But somehow it's always like this: hmm, what does the dog like? I don't want to buy a large portion online, because then he won't like it. Yes, and somehow I have to feel my way around it a bit more. But basically, for me, I'm quite price-sensitive and always think that it shouldn't be too expensive. Now, a dog who, to be honest, otherwise only eats junk in the wild, doesn't need to eat premium food, which is more expensive than our human food, so to speak. So, it can't be that expensive, but it has to taste good to him. So, and that's why I pay close attention to the price and then what he eats, in small portions to begin with. And if I notice he likes it, I'll buy larger quantities next time. Whether it's online or offline is a bit of a balance these days, or at least at the moment.”
