Users want fewer steps via multi-use formats. Offer a serum + moisturizer to cover glow/anti-aging/hydration and a separate moisturizer + SPF for those who want SPF combined—while keeping standalone SPF for those who don’t. Both must absorb quickly and sit well under makeup.

“Just maybe more like two in one products that combine each other.”

“I think what would help most in the morning would be, just combining ingredients all in one product so that it would make it faster for me to do my morning routine.”

“I don't think there's a specific product that would help most in the morning, but also sunscreen is important. So maybe a moisturizer that has sunscreen in it would be helpful because you're using one product instead of two.”

“I will try, using fewer steps. Glow is my top priority. I will use fewer steps. I'm a minimalist. I like things efficient, simple, quick.”

“I will skip the toner and the serum. Especially, I just get busy. I just end up not having time running out the door. So my most important in the morning is moisturizer and sunscreen”

“I don't think I could change much just because I don't use many products as it is. But if I am using makeup, I'd probably want a moisturizer that is hydrating enough to skip, like, serums, for example, or skip a glowy product. So maybe finding that encompassing moisturizer would be more efficient.”

“I would change the number of steps. So I would put steps that make sense into one, like a serum and a moisturizer. I would change brand lines such that it's very clear, like, this is your routine for when you wear makeup. This is your routine for a clean face. This is your routine for whatever.”

“I would probably, like, get reduced to three products, a cleanser, a toner, and then a product that's gonna brighten, moisturize, and SPF. So with a quick pump, throw it on, go.”

“It would be easy and fast to use. Maybe my serum and moisturizer would be combined as well as my cleanser and my exfoliator or something like that. Less steps, I guess.”

“Things that would make it feel more smooth and more effortless would be combination products. So not having to have steps so many steps sequentially or separated and sequential by, like, the product types. So if I had more combination products such as sunscreen and moisturizers together, serums and serums that have, like, a acid or whatnot. So they kinda moisturize, but they also exfoliate. Like, if I can combine steps, that would be easier.”

“I think for me, what would change is something that is an all in one product, that it does all that moisturizing, helps with the fine lines and wrinkles, and also can prime. So that would kill three of my makeup products. Like, it would be a three in one product. I think that would be amazing, because eliminating those steps can save me two to three minutes of time.”

“I think maybe if some of these products worked well as a two in one, like a moisturizer with that serum kind of incorporated into the moisturizer might make my routine a little bit quicker. But I also find that a lot of times when you've got, like, two in one products, you're kinda sacrificing quality. So I'm fine with having each step be its own individual product and taking that extra time to make sure that I get the results that I want.”

“As I said earlier, my ideal AM routine would be that there's all in one products for you know? Instead of being being, like, a five step routine, it turns into only a two step routine. So there's just two products you have to use, and then you're done. And then, like, it doesn't do anything in terms of messing with your makeup. It just looks nice, feels nice, does everything that it's intended to do, and it's cost effective.”

“Well, I'd be totally open to fewer steps if the results are consistent. So I'm all about simplifying without sacrificing that glow. So I wouldn't mind a slightly different texture either as long as it feels good on my skin and layers well under makeup. And if it truly delivers long lasting radiance and skin health, I'd even be okay paying a bit more. So glow is worth when it feels, like, effortless and real.”

“Well, I pair smarter packaging with lightweight hybrid texture, something between a gel and a serum that absorbs instantly but still leaves a hydrated glow. I love when a product feels breathable, silky, not sticky, and the fragrance has to be wonderful. A formula that smooths the skin like a primer while giving that soft, radiant finish makes layering effortless. And if it came in intuitive packaging, like a pump that blends SPF and moisturizer together, that will be my dream combo. So minimal effort, maximum payoff, skin that's camera ready in seconds.”

“I already only use three skincare products in the morning. But if I were to have my way, I think two is ideal. I don't like having products with SPF in it. I prefer to have my SPF separately. I find for some reason that products that try to combine things like moisturizer plus SPF, I I just feel like it's less effective for me, or I I don't know. I trust it less because SPF is so important to me, and I wanna make sure that it's not being diluted or, I'm making sure that it's used properly if I have to since I reapply. So, yes, I would cut it down to two products. I don't mind if the products are multifunction as long as it's not SPF. And that way, for me, it's less hassle. It's less, products, less packaging. So being a little bit more environmentally friendly, and that it plays nicely with makeup is a plus, but not necessary for me since I don't wear makeup, every day. So I care more about the quality of my skin than makeup application.”

“I think my ideal AM routine would be, making sure that it's faster. Again, some mornings, I'm in a rush. So what I would do is have, maybe all the serum benefits and ingredients that I need in one product. Uh-huh. So I would do that and then moisturizer and then sunscreen, and then I'll be out the door.”

“For me, it would be, an all in one solution, maybe serum protection from, drying out and nutrients all in one formula that I can just put on my face, and it's lightweight. And then it would instantly be ready for the next step, which is foundation or, BB cream.”

“I don't really skip steps. Sometimes what I'll combine is my sunscreen and moisturizer. So instead of doing a sun moisturizer and then a sunscreen separate, I may just get a product that has both, and that'll be the one combination.”

“I'd say having to use less products, I'd say, would definitely make a difference. Less products and having products that, you know, attack more than one thing on your face that can, help destroy a few things that you're having issues with, I definitely think that would be a big, relief for, not only me, but for a lot of people.”

“And even better if it had, like, I'd say, niacinamide and sunscreen if it was inside the moisturizer. That way, wouldn't have to get another sunscreen and put it on top because that's just another product. So yeah. It's, like, very much faster.”
