How to read this study

MaxDiff tells us what parents want off their plates. The interviews tell us why, and how to act.

Two methods run back to back in one 15-minute session, so every ranked trade-off carries its own explanation.

The ranking
What
A 20-item MaxDiff forces real trade-offs.
Parents choose the most and least appealing task to offload across repeated small screens. The result is a single preference-share ranking that separates what truly matters from what merely sounds hard, free of scale inflation.
The interviews
Why & how
AI-moderated video probes the choice.
Immediately after ranking, participants name what they would realistically pay to offload and explain the reasoning: which tasks are removable chores, which are protected parenting, and what a service would have to do.
